LawWorx is run by Jonathan, an independent publisher. Jonathan is not a lawyer, and LawWorx is not a law firm. The goal of the site is to help you understand your situation well enough to make good decisions and to ask a lawyer the right questions.
How our guides are researched
- Official sources first. State-specific facts such as filing fees, deadlines and requirements are checked against official sources: secretary of state websites, state bar associations, state statutes and federal agencies.
- Dated and sourced. Fees, deadlines and rules change. Guides that contain state-specific facts show when they were last verified and link to the official source so you can confirm the current figure yourself.
- Kept up to date. We review facts on a regular schedule and update pages when laws or fees change.
